With its roots stretching back to the fifteenth century, the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, is known the world over for its annual Christmas Eve broadcast of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. In this concert of five baroque masterpieces, they join forces with Florilegium, one of the most flamboyant sought-after period instrument ensembles whose CDs regularly have the critics reaching for superlatives. The music ranges from the splendour of Handel’s Zadok the Priest, the majesty of Bach and the vivacious energy of Vivaldi.
