T306888719
Japanese drumming spectacular. Kodo means both 'heartbeat' and 'children of the drum'. Based in their own village on Sado Island, Kodo seek to preserve the centuries-old ritual of the traditional Japanese taiko, whilst also encouraging artistic exchange and collaboration. Constantly absorbing new influences into their own musical heritage, Kodo's performances are a sublime devotional experience maintaining the very spirit of the drum.
