Nominated Folk Singer of the Year - BBC Folk Awards 2010. Kris Drever is a talented guitarist and singer from the Orkney Islands whose debut solo album Black Water won him the Horizon Award at the BBC Folk Awards 2007. He was also an award winner with Lau, winning Best Group in 2008 and 2009. His highly acclaimed second album, Mark the Hard Earth was released in spring 2010. Kris has toured and recorded all over the world with names such as Kate Rusby and Eddi Reader. He is also a noteworthy composer and has collaborated with Roddy Woomble (Idlewild), Ian Carr (Kate Rusby Band) and John McCusker. For this tour he will be performing with ?amonn Coyne with whom he collaborated with on the 2007 release Honk Toot Suite.
