Our intimate Late Night Jazz series presents sensational music in the relaxed setting of the Elgar Room. The series is part of a wide range of events to enjoy outside our main auditorium. The inimitable jazz diva and Queen of the blues, Gill Manly performs her new show revealing the incredible life and career of R 'n B High Priestess Etta James. Described by Time Out as "a singer not lacking in testosterone" she dives right into the Etta James songbook revealing the sexiest, bluesiest, most intense collection of songs. Expect all the biggest hits including "Purple Rain", "You Can Leave Your Hat On", "Hoochie Coochie Gal", "I'd Rather Go Blind", "Something's Got a Hold on Me" and "Mojo Working". Much like Etta James herself, this show will be hot, sultry and soulful with plenty of that deep southern mojo.
