Liane is one of the finest entertainers and all-round talents that the British jazz scene has to offer. An accomplished pianist and soulful and witty vocalist, Liane's talents have won recognition far beyond the jazz world, and she has recorded with the likes of Paul McCartney, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and drum & bass outfit, London Elecktricity. Yet it is in jazz that she has continued to thrive most. A double winner at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2005 - a unique accolade - she recently added a Ronnie Scotts Award ('Best Female Vocalist') and Parliamentary Jazz gong ('Best Jazz Musician') to her collection.
