Production details

The London Gay Symphony Orchestra (LGSO) continues its successful 2008/09 concert series performing Tchaikovsky, Wagner and Poulenc on Sunday 26 April 2009. This has been a particularly exciting season for the LGSO. The orchestra joined forces with the Rainbow Symphony Orchestra of France at the end of last year for joint concerts in London and Paris . It is also currently preparing for its Royal Festival Hall debut on 02 May 2009, having been invited to perform the European premiere of Sing for the Cure, a symphonic song cycle chronicling stories of beast cancer survivors, as part of the Various Voices festival. The LGSO will start its spring concert playing Wagner’s Overture to Die Meistersinger, and then the less well known Les Biches suite by Poulenc. The LGSO will round the evening off breathing new life into Tchaikovsky’s ever popular Symphony no.5. St John's Church, Waterloo Road, London SE1 8TY. Booking: www.lgso.org.uk
