The season-long Gustav Mahler celebration at Southbank Centre continues on 17 November as Resident Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, begins its survey of Mahler’s complete orchestral song cycle with Rückert Lieder, performed by contralto Nathalie Stutzmann and conductor Kazushi Ono. The programme juxtaposes Mahler with his contemporaries, featuring Richard Strauss’ Tod und Verklaerung and Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé suites. Royal Festival Hall
