The mystery of a missing music, peasant revolt and the prospect of a thousand Irish pub music sessions being consigned to the historical dustbin... This is the background for Luke Daniel's new project where the composer and accordion virtuoso stages a mythical musical boxing match between the tunes of Turloch O'Carolan, the last of the great Irish harpists and Henry Purcell, a leading English exponent of the Baroque renaissance that swept Europe in the seventeenth century.
