Mahan Esfahani is fast gaining international recognition as a soloist and collaborative artist on the harpsichord, fortepiano and organ in both early and contemporary repertoire. He was the first harpsichordist to be named a BBC New Generation Artist and to be awarded a fellowship prize by the Borletti-Buitoni Trust. As well as appearing with a number of the BBC Orchestras last season he also made his solo recital debut at the Wigmore Hall and appeared at the City of London and York Early Music Festivals.
