The very best in big band music ranging from the 30s up to the present day. Manhattan Sound is a group of musicians based in West Yorkshire working together to bring you the vast big band repertoire. They are joined by Nicki Allan, voted Yorkshire Jazz Singer of the Year 2011, with whom they regularly perform. Tonight is a special celebration for the band who have decided to play to a bigger audience than usual as a result of constant critical acclaim. They play many arrangements that were made for them, but if you enjoy the likes of Count Basie then don t miss this treat.
