T1194644722 The partnership between Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick has gone on now for 37 years. And the longer it lasts the greater understanding there is between them. Dave's extraordinary fiddle playing continues to set the standard, with wonderful skill and seemingly endless variation he manages to shift from the limelight to the subordinate role of accompanist. Martin's guitar playing sounds like no-one else. The combination of these two still-inquisitive musicians continues to intrigue audiences and they still have the capacity to surprise each other as well as the audience.
