Matthew Bourne Trio
T0
Twenty-five year old acoustic pianist Matthew Bourne has already made a remarkable impact on Britain's contemporary jazz scene. He won the Perrier Young Musician Award in 2001 and BBC's Jazz Innovation Award in 2002. Evening Standard critic Jack Massarik reported that he upstaged Swedish star Esborn Svensson at the London Jazz Festival. His playing moves from the delicate to the anarchic and is always full of humour with influences ranging from Bill Evans to John Zorn, George Formby to John Cage.
