Nine times and current winners of the BBC National Big Band Competition, MYJO features some of the hottest young talent on the UK jazz circuit. The band has toured extensively, including participating in the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival, visiting the USSR, performing at Disneyland in Florida and Amsterdam Sail 2000, the famous tall ships festival. Closer to home, they've appeared at Ronnie Scott's Club in London and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as in concert with stars including Benny Carter, John Dankworth, Arturo Sandoval, Digby Fairweather and Jools Holland. Their repertoire covers virtually the whole period of big band music, so your favourites are bound to feature some in tonight's programme!
