The Coming Together Fair
This is a unique opportunity to enjoy and be amazed by the performance ensemble Milón Méla. Appearing for the first time in the UK, they bring together traditional folk music, tribal and acrobatic dance and ancient martial arts from across India. Come and join us for an exceptional evening with sixteen artists, all masters of their own disciplines: Hindu Baul and Muslim Fakir singers and musicians from Bengal (who have recorded for Peter Gabriel’s Real World label), magnificent masked Chhau dancers and drummers from Bihar, master Kalaripayattu sword fighters from Kerala and refined and harmonious young Gotipua dancers from Orissa. A stunning mix of live music, visual and physical performance suitable for all the family.
