An evening dedicated to the American poet Emily Dickinson (1830-1886). Renee Fleming performs songs by composers who use Dickinson's poems for their text, including works by Aaron Copland, Andre Previn and Michael Tilson Thomas amongst others. Claire Bloom will perform a script written by William Luce that will bring her letters and poems to life. American Tony and Emmy award nominee, Charles Nelson Reilly, directs both singer and actress in a simple and stunning combination of sung and spoken word.
