The annual Theatre Royal New Year’s Eve Gala in the company of Bath Philharmonia has become one of the most enjoyable dates in the Bath calendar. The orchestra returns with one of the UK’s most gifted violinists playing Tchaikovsky’s spellbinding violin concerto. See out the old year and welcome in the new in spectacular style with a Last Night of the Proms style finale of popular classics and rousing music. After a master class with the eminent Italian/American violinist Ruggiero Ricci he described Tamsin Waley-Cohen as “the most exceptionally gifted young violinist I have ever encountered.” She performs as a soloist with orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of St John’s, London Concert Orchestra and London Chamber Orchestra.
