T0542733975 (TOUR09) Techno time lords Orbital celebrate their 20th anniversary with a select series of hotly anticipated 'comeback' shows this summer. Orbital were for almost two decades the most creative and influential electronica act on the planet. In their remarkable rise to global fame they also pulled off an extraordinary musical coup: remaining true to the dance underground aesthetic while finding huge commercial success. Alongside Aphex Twin, Underworld, and Future Sound of London, they pioneered intelligent and euphoric electronica from their anthemic 89 debut Chime to headlining slots at Glastonbury and the Royal Albert Hall.

Details

Concert :: Orbital may have been dormant since 2004, but their influence never died out. Decades after they first crossed over from rave-scene favourites to charts stars with evergreen electro anthems like Chime and The Box, you can still hear echoes of their pulsing, melodic, emotionally uplifting sound everywhere, from rising clubland champions like dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man to the supple analogue synth-pop throb of Caribou, Fever Ray, M83 and Delphic.
