TV presenter, and renowned archaeologist, Mark Olly (Granada’s Lost Treasures) will be hosting the day’s events and ensuring everyone is transported back in time with full costumes and shows performed by local groups. The festival is jam-packed with events and activities for all! Come and have your picture taken with an enormous smoke-breathing dragon, browse the enchanting arts and crafts stalls, let the kids explore their creative sides with Makendoo craft sessions or take a turn at the mini-Olympics to put you on the path to 2012! Alongside stage performances, there will be a number of local market stalls in the gardens, workshops for children, music and food and drink stalls. Throughout the afternoon medieval knights will be defending their village; a spectacle you won’t want to miss! Party at the Park celebrates the talent of community groups and schools, showcasing their work alongside professional acts. Party at the Park is part of the Town Centre Festivals’ programme, and the fun continues on the following weekend with more free activities:
