This phenomenally difficult programme is as dangerous to play and as imaginative as it comes - a rare treat sure to captivate and enthral a local audience. Not satisfied to include only great works of the virtuoso repertoire, international pianist Richard Meyrick will take us to the cinema with the Warsaw Concerto (remember 'Dangerous Moonlight'?!) and 'Death in Venice' (a piano transcription of Mahler’s 5th Symphony), and to great TV series like 'The World at War' (Prokofiev’s Montagues & Capulets from Romeo & Juliet), and even Jonathan Ross - Saint-Saëns’ 'Danse macabre' as arranged by Vladimir Horowitz!!
