Elgar Birthday Concert
The RLPO is joined by resident pianist Freddy Kempf for this year's Elgar Birthday Concert, which is conducted by Elgar-specialist David Lloyd-Jones. The first half opens with Elgar's Cockaigne Overture and continues with Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto, with Freddy Kempf as soloist. Then in the second half, the orchestra will perform Elgar's Symphony No.2.
