Leschenko Plays Chopin

Chopin and Mendelssohn both visited Scotland in the 1830s and ’40s, and this programme unites them in performances by the sparkling team of Leschenko and Swensen. Leschenko’s Chopin is especially fine, and the slow movement of this concerto holds some of the most bewitching music the great composer ever wrote.
