Serenade to Shakespeare

More music inspired by Shakespeare, but this time with the Helios Ensemble with music from Walton's Henry V and a sixteen strong chorus of top soloists in Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music. There will be a spoken scene from Shakespeare's Merry Wives followed by the same scene as interpreted in Nicolai's opera version, jazz settings by John Dankworth and George Shearing, some Cole Porter and some Elizabethan Lute music.
