Side by Side is part of the Royal Opera House’s ongoing partnership with Southbank Sinfonia - an orchestra formed of young professional musicians who are mentored by members of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House to help them in the further development of their professional careers. Now into its eighth Season, the partnership programme includes coaching sessions, rehearsals and a variety of performance opportunities throughout the Season. This concert in the Linbury Studio Theatre is their showcase, when they will perform an enticing selection of some of the best-known works for opera and ballet, joined by singers of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme and dancers from The Royal Ballet and conducted by Barry Wordsworth and Paul Wynne Griffiths.
