SonVer started life late in 2003, when Jo Quail and Ben McLees started recording together as an experiment away from their main band. Early SonVer tracks display a world music influence, but more recently SonVer's live music has featured new tracks which show Jo and Ben's more experimental and electro influences. The soundtrack feel to SonVer's music has recently led to collaborations with UK film production companies and SonVer's live show now incorporates both still and abstract movie projection.
