The group is led by Zairean master percussionist Koko Kanyinda, who has played and recorded all over the world with acts such as Sam Mangwana and the Real Sounds of Africa. With a mostly all-Congolese line-up, Soukous Koumbele play the world's most popular African music, Soukous, with impeccable style and passion.
