Show of Hands’ inspired frontman Steve Knightley, hailed as one of England’s best songwriters, takes to the road on a solo UK tour from the end of January, showcasing his striking new album Track of Words Retraced. So called as it revisits Track of Words, his first solo album of a decade ago. This re-recording, perhaps more than any other album, underlines the sheer diversity of Knightley’s songwriting, stripping away the bigger production feel of the original album and investing in a more subtle, acoustic style.
