The Diamond Years
Sunderland Amateur Operatic Society presents a tribute to 60 years of British Musicals to rejoice the Queens Jubilee. Musicals from the Queen's Coronation to the present day will be celebrated, together with performances from Castletown Primary School (Winner of The City Sings), Springwell Junior School (Gateshead) & Redhouse School Choir and dancing by pupils from Kathleen Knox School of Dance. The evening will culminate in a Proms-esque finale, with performances of Pomp & Circumstances, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory and audience members will be given their very own Union Jack flags to join in the celebrations.
