Beethoven's 'Choral Fantasy' combines virtuoso piano writing with parts for chorus and six soloists and was conceived as the finale to a concert of the composer's music in Vienna. Stravinsky's Concerto in D for string orchestra is one of his most accessible works, and has been choreographed for ballet on several occasions. Mozart's Mass in C minor contains some of his greatest music but remained unfinished on his death. The Bach Choir performs the Mass as edited and reconstructed by the composer and musicologist, Philip Wilby. Royal Festival Hall
