The Soundtrack of Our Lives
Time flies when you are having fun and Fun with a capital F is what Barron Knights gigs are all about, not to mention some rip roaring rock ‘n’ roll. Last year the band celebrated their 50th anniversary tour taking in 50 concerts in the UK and a further 15 gigs in Australia and New Zealand. The Barron Knights began recording in 1960 and first charted in 1964. They toured with The Beatles in ’64 and The Stones in ’65. Robbie Williams was brought up listening to their albums. In between all the old favourites like Call Up The Groups, the band will perform their own inimitable version of The William Tell Overture and their flamenco party piece, Malaguena. Listen out also for Camilla Will Be Queen to a parody of Killer Queen and their hilarious take on Noel Harrison’s Windmills Of Your Mind. 50 years on and still rockin’!
