Saturday Classics - Celebration

2009 marks the 200th anniversary of both Haydn's death and Mendelssohn's birth, and the Coull Quartet is celebrating their genius in this programme: Haydn, the pinnacle of pure classical form, and Mendelssohn, the child prodigy who had a massive impact on music in the nineteenth century, both linked in this programme by the towering genius of Beethoven.
