The Danish String Quartet has reached incredible heights in the course of its 10 years of existence. In 2009 those who witnesssed the Danish String Quartet taking first prize plus four additional prizes at the London International String Quartet Competition knew that they were hearing something special - and so it came to pass! They have performed all over Europe to universal acclaim and were awarded the highly prestigious Carl Nielsen prize in 2011 for their promotion of his quartets. In January 2012 the quartet was appointed to the prestigious Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two programme beginning with the 2013-2014 season. This achievement comes as the last in a row of distinguished accomplishments.
