As Special Ed & The Shortbus, this white-hot five-piece from Virginia, caused a sensation at Edinburgh Festival Fringe when they carried off a Herald Angel for their outstanding contribution to the event following a seven-night run at The Famous Spiegeltent. They won a clutch of five-star reviews, went on to be stand-out act at Maverick magazine's huge Americana spectacular in Suffolk and won an invitation to return for their own headline show at Glasgow's Celtic Connections Festival where they got a standing ovation following another whiz-bang performance.
