Diamond Jubilee Summer Prom - Grieg Piano Concerto

A special MSO Prom to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee featuring Walton's Crown Imperial and Coates' Three Elizabeths. The highlight will undoubtedly be Grieg's timeless Piano Concerto performed by acclaimed soloist Antony Peebles, whose busy schedule over a long career has enabled him to play in 131 different countries! Some of the best known tunes in Grieg's concerto are inspired by the folk music of his native Norway. The evening will end with traditional "Last Night of the Proms" celebrations.
