Piney grew up in isolation in the American Midwest. She joined her first band, a synth pop duo who released a single with Mute and toured Europe with Erasure. Some would describe her musical direction now as "indie Dolly Parton". If you like Patsy Cline, Gram Parsons and good whiskey, the chances are you’re going to love Piney.
