Opening with a noisy and provocative event involving the choir and audience, Stand, through fierce, impassioned and uplifting music, looks at work and protest, at solidarity and frustration. The lyrics range from a powerful speech of Emmeline Pankhurst to a poetic list of apple varieties. The music, both new and drawn from the choir's existing repertoire, is by Orlando Gough, Richard Chew and members of The Shout.
