Production details

Two classic works for soloist and orchestra are performed in this programme. Concerto Competition winner Ruairi Edwards plays the spirited and moving Chopin 2nd Piano Concerto and local star mezzo soprano Gaynor Keeble sings the evocative song cycle Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen by Gustav Mahler. The Chorus will sing two works by living composers from Britain (John Rutter) and America (Eric Whitacre). Butterworth Hall
