Bobby Bland's music has influenced everyone, from Otis Redding to Van Morrison, Paul Weller to Mick Hucknall. In fact he influenced so many, it's almost impossible to measure his contribution to music. Bobby continued to perform up to his recent death in June 2013 and has left us with an incredible amount of music for us to all enjoy. With this tribute led by Van Morrison and Mick Hucknall, two artists who hold Bobby Bland in the highest esteem, BluesFest pays its respects to a man who has inspired and influenced so many. Bobby Bland may be gone, but for one night at BluesFest the music of the man known by some as 'The Lion Of The Blues' will ring out loud.
