Vera Bila and Kale
T0
Vera Bila comes from Bohemia in the Czech Republic and has been described as the Ella Fitzgerald of Gypsy music. Certainly in style she is not unlike American blues singers of the past, however, her music is unmistakably Romany...passionate, romantic, devil-may-care with echoes of bossa nova, doo-wop and Latin music adding flavour to her East European stock. Her words are all about crimes of passion, slick black hair and red roses. Backed by her family quartet Kale, this is an unmissable opportunity to catch a world diva in an intimate setting.
