This theatre is an irrepressible force in the Tokyo alternative theatre scene Mainichi Shimbun YUBIWA Hotel aims to sensually express the impulses that trigger sexuality and violence, and the instincts that make us eat, live and die. Illustrating many different mindscapes of women on stage, they seek to question female stereotypes. In Candies, YUBIWA Hotel will bring to life the ‘21st century s anti-heroine crystallised from women s past, present and future, their lifestyles, conversations, bodies, complexes and delusions.
