Perhaps you could do a dance based on the following true story....
Working title.. 'earning a living, paying a debt?'
In August 1993 a dancer was lent £353.00 by an Ex English National Ballet Designer for a return Air Ticket to the USA, lent as an act of frienship, and helping a so called friend who was desperatly broke, to help forward her dancing and Artistic career, yet despite the many promises over the years to repay this debt, NOTHING ever happened, even after being tracking down either through friends or her relatives, the first time was after several months of the dancer returning from the USA, all he ever recieved was excuses, promises, and yet another shortly to be changed mobile number!!
Just to add a bit of spice to the story, the designer had a massive intestinal tumour removed years ago, he was very lucky and survived, but he never worked in the Arts again, he could have done with the return of that loan on many many occasions, you could show examples of the designer struggling to pay the bills, perhaps the dance could finish with the dancer doing the decent thing and waving the letter promising to re-pay the debt and then actually doing so, paying the £353.00 plus the interest, and the stage could be covered in falling money (you will need to ask a bank for the total)
Or you could have a different ending....
Its not flowers the dancer recieves after a performance, its a court order from a member of the public watching the performance.
