A Dance Celebration for Richard Alston's 50th Birthday!

For this unique celebration, Alston has compiled a collage of past works including excerpts from 'Blue Schubert Fragments' (1974), 'Rainbow Ripples' (1980), (1983), 'Strong Language' (1987) and 'Roughcut' (1990). The evening culminates in the World Premiere of a new work commissioned by Dance Umbrella to celebrate its own 20th anniversary. 'Waltzes in Disorder' is set to Brahms's 'Liebeslieder Walzer', rich music for four voices and piano sung live on stage.
