Behind the coffee we drink, the clothes we wear, the food we eat, lie people who may not be as fortunate as us. Whether they are within the Third World or your next door neighbour, the alarming realisation is that people are living on less than a so called average minimum wage to support their family or even themselves. Fighting to find a way to clothe or feed themselves, they rely on finding a way to fill their stomachs, whether it's dirty water from streams or buying the only affordable food, which may be more harmful than good. The performance asks many illuminating questions: Do we wish to allow these things to happen only a few steps away from what we purchase? Do we care, so long as the products we are purchasing are up to the standard we crave for? Are we open and aware of fair trade or are we only aware when the trade is fair to us? Who are the people doing these jobs, do we care if they are children or adults?
