Award winning Aakash Odedra Company pushes the boundaries of narrative style dance using a movement vocabulary which blends contemporary dance, Kathak and Bharat Natyam. This piece forms a double bill with Company Decalage. Running time: approx 1 hour (Company Decalage 30mins, Aakash Odedra 30mins). Aakash Odedra presents a solo Kathak piece, part of a full length double bill featuring Aakash and Japanese Kathak dancer Yuko Inoue. Aakash and Yuko’s work has been choreogrpahed by senior international kathak exponent Kumudini Lakhia. The piece was commissioned by Sadlers Well’s and Akram Khan.
