This piece is part of Air Falbh leis na h-eoin | Away with the birds, a body of work interrogating the mimesis of birds in Gaelic song. At its core is a composition for a choir of female singers. It fragments and re-builds extracts of Gaelic songs into an extended soundscape that grows out of and responds to the landscape, exploring the relationship between the Scottish Gaelic tradition and bird communities.
