Amici is a unique dance theatre company integrating able-bodied and disabled artists and performers. Founded in 1980, Amici have had a major impact challenging conventional attitudes about disability and the arts. The only freedom of movement without the restriction of a wheelchair, is for some people the floor. Limited as the movement may appear they belong to the individual. To break out, to be able to "fly", other individuals are needed. To extend experiences to make dreams become reality we must not give up hope for finding solutions to help us grow.
