Anton Lachky and Eulalia Ayguade/Anna VnukT0572100259
Lachky and Ayguade explore the physical boundaries between humans and animals in Twice Read, while Vnuk takes on cats, karma and heartbreak in Anna Vnuk Stages Cats!. A duet choreographed and performed by Lachky and Ayguade, Twice Read focuses on movement without consciousness, one's ability to remain constantly alert and the unpredictable nature of innate reactions. Co-produced with Sweden's Nationwide Theatre Riksteatern/JAM, Anna Vnuk Stages Cats! is a piece for Vnuk and four male dancers. The work is staged like a modern musical with dance numbers alternating with monologues by Vnuk, telling how she survives the aftermath of a broken relationship from denial through recovery, debunking the common myth that cats prefer to be alone.
