The Maltings is proud to introduce Berwick’s brand new, home-grown Ballet Company of aspiring professionals, including live music from the Bewegung Ensemble and choreography by Jane Keenan, in a groundbreaking - Steinway-accompanied - performance in the Travers Studio ‘Class’, set to Beethoven’s Clarinet Trio op.38, explores creative adventure, with artist and audience travelling together. Contrasts’, set to Bartok’s Contrasts, comments on how society is manipulated by the media and in turn, becomes a slaves to technology. ‘Cloudscapes’, set to music by the late local composer Paul Keenan, is a deeply felt, emotional piece about our yearning for freedom.
