Ballet Cymru (formerly Independent Ballet Wales) are a young, vital group of dancers who are pushing back the barriers of classical ballet. Using powerful and timeless stories the company challenges its dancers to interpret some of the finest characters in literature. This new full length ballet adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Tempest features Ariel, the fleet footed spirit of the air, Caliban, the deformed and twisted slave, Prospero, the powerful magician and Miranda and Ferdinand, the star crossed lovers.
