Ballet Ireland was founded in 1998 and has gone from strength to strength enjoying meteoric success and acclaim, and have fast gained reputation for being young, talented, attractive and glamorous. Set in 19th century Vienna, Die Fledermaus is a delicious story of intrigue, love, humour and revenge, with music by Johann Strauss. Gabriel von Eisenstein doesn't let his marriage to Rosalinde get in the way of frequent dalliances with young ladies from the corps de ballet, but his wife - amongst others - is determined to have her revenge. At a sumptuous ball hosted by Prince Orlofsky, the fun is fast and furious, and a glamorous Hungarian countess adds a touch of intrigue... but is everything as it appears?
