Beside You

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the coal miners’ strikes, choreographer Matthew Howells presents a double bill of new work, including Beside You which draws inspiration from the women of the mines and those wives who kept households ticking over during the strikes. The piece looks at the worries of the women for both their husbands and children, and how they stood strong throughout the demonstrations. Beyond Repair is a new Cardiff-based dance company whose previous work, Cube with Magic Ribbons toured Wales as part of Welsh Independent Dance’s Dance Bytes.
